Getting to Athens

UGA is located in Athens, GA, about 80 miles east of Atlanta. Traffic in Atlanta can be very busy at any time, but especially during morning/evening rush hours. Use your favorite navigation app to find your way here!

As the busiest and one of the largest airports in the world, ATL offers many rental car options for those arriving by plane.

For those who are flying into ATL, but do not want to rent a car, I recommend using Groome Transportation. This shuttle service has many departures to Athens throughout the day at $52 each way, and even stops at the Georgia Center Hotel on campus.

The HHSOM is located at 250 River Road, Athens GA, 30605.

Parking

During the day, attendees will park in the PAC Deck or the East Campus Deck. Special Events passes are available for $5/day, and can be purchased as part of your registration fee.

Anyone may park in lots E11 or E07 after 5:00 PM

Hourly parking is available in the PAC Deck after 1:00 PM, or all day in the East Campus Deck, but parking passes are much more cost effective at just $5 per day. Deck assignments will be made later on, and could be either garage depending on the day.

Please plan to arrive early and carpool as is possible as campus tends to be busy during the week!

Village Summit and Joe Frank Harris Dining Commons: this is a UGA dining hall and small food court/shoppette located a short 3-4 minute walk from the HHSOM/PAC
