Euphonium Audition Requirements
​Be prepared to play any two-octave major scale and be able to demonstrate the upper and lower extremities of your range
​
Prospective students should prepare two contrasting etudes (e.g. lyrical and technical) comparable to the following:
​
Choose one etude from each group:
â—¦ Rochut - Melodius Etudes for Trombone, Vol. 1: #4, #23, or #19
â—¦ Voxman - Selected Studies for Baritone: A-flat Major Allegro, F Major Allegro, C Minor Allegro
Prospective students should also prepare one solo comparable to the following:
â—¦ Barat - Andante and Allegro
â—¦ Capuzzi - Andante and Rondo
â—¦ Curnow - Rhapsody for Euphonium
â—¦ Guilmant - Morceau Symphonique
â—¦ Marcello - Sonata in F Major
â—¦ Mozart - Bassoon Concerto, movements 2 and 3

Prospective students should also prepare one solo comparable to the following:

â—¦ Hartley- Suite for Unaccompanied Tuba
